Bitwarden is free for one person; team sharing with access controls is on its paid per-user plans. Prices change — check Bitwarden’s pricing page for current numbers. “Varies by plan” means it depends on which Bitwarden plan you’re on. Checked 2026-10-19.

When BobWork Vault is the better fit

  • You share logins across a small or growing team and don’t want the bill to grow with every seat.
  • Some people should sign in but never see the password — contractors, agencies, interns. Login-only sharing fills it for them.
  • People join and leave often. Offboarding removes access, hands over what they owned and lists every password to change.

When to stay with Bitwarden

If you rely on a native desktop or mobile app, or features specific to Bitwarden’s paid plans, stay where you are. BobWork Vault is a Chrome-family extension plus a web vault that works in any modern browser.

Move from Bitwarden in four steps

  1. In Bitwarden, export your vault: Tools › Export vault › .csv.
  2. Create a free BobWork Vault account and add the Chrome extension.
  3. Open Import passwords and drop the CSV — it’s encrypted in your browser and duplicates are skipped.
  4. Invite your team and choose View, Edit or Login only for each password or folder. Then delete the CSV.
